Virtual Career Café & Global Networking Night

Attend the Virtual Career Café on May 16 to polish your résumé and sharpen your skills, then join your local ’Canes Community at Global Networking Night on May 23 to build professional connections with alumni in your neighborhood.

Alumni are invited to participate in our first-ever Virtual Career Café on Wednesday, May 16 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. ET. Simply register and log in from any computer or mobile device during that time to get special access to 10-minute text-based chat conversations with career services professionals.

During the Virtual Career Café, you’ll have the unique opportunity to speak 1:1 with a career coach, refine your interviewing skills, polish your résumé, or even revamp your LinkedIn profile. Participation in this online event is a great way to sharpen your professional toolkit and can help you prepare for the meaningful connections you’ll make one week later at Global Networking Night.

Register in advance and attend from wherever you are in the world! You can join at any point during the 2-hour window.

Once the event begins, log in for the chance to refine your professional skills in the following ways:

  • Chat one-on-one with a certified career coach
  • Get quick tips on how to improve your LinkedIn profile
  • Have your résumé briefly reviewed by a professional
  • Enter a flash-advising session led by Toppel Career Center
  • Refine your interview skills & discuss job search strategies

After you’ve logged in to the Virtual Career Café, you’ll be connected with career professionals in the booth of your choice for short, 10-minute text-based (typed) chats. You only need a computer or mobile device to participate and no video or audio is required.
