Alice Vilma is a Managing Director and Co‐Head of the Multicultural Client Strategy Group at Morgan Stanley, where she leads Morgan Stanley’s efforts to strengthen its connection to the multicultural business community through development and execution of commercial opportunities with corporate, government, institutional and individual clients.  Ms. Vilma launched the Firm’s Multicultural Innovation Lab in 2017, which is an in‐house accelerator that invests in and supports early‐stage tech and tech‐ enabled startups with diverse founders.  Most recently, Ms. Vilma established the Firm’s first early stage venture fund investing in tech and tech enabled startups with founders of color and women, the Next Level Fund.       


Sandy Goldstein

Samuel H. (Sandy) Goldstein is the founder and chief executive officer of Capsicum Group, LLC. Capsicum provides comprehensive support in the areas of digital forensics and investigations, electronic and paper discovery, data and tape recovery, cybersecurity, and compliance. Goldstein often writes and speaks on such topics as e-discovery, computer forensics, and advanced technologies and strategies.


Dan Smith

Dan R. Smith, B.B.A. ’ 89

Immediate Past Chair

Dan Smith is a serial entrepreneur, organizational growth driver and change agent with a consistent track record of success across a wide variety of financial services companies. As president and shareholder of NBC Mortgage, an independent division of National Commerce Corporation, Smith leads the residential mortgage banking efforts for all National Commerce Corporation/National Bank of Commerce brands, which he saw to their successful acquisition by CenterState Bank in April 2019.


Leigh R. Melton, J.D. ’98

Co-chair of Strategic Engagement

Leigh has had a rather diverse background. In the corporate and public-sector environments, Leigh was a successful managing partner of a law firm for over fifteen years, guiding her firm to meaningful growth and profitability. At her firm, Leigh had an important role in the development of the firm’s strategic thinking, direction and personnel.Leigh also has in-house background with the Miami Heat, where she learned to collaborate effectively with others at all levels of the organization.


Adam Apatoff

Adam S. Apatoff B.B.A. '93 

Co-Chair of Strategic Engagement Committee

Adam Apatoff is a principal in the law firm Apatoff Peters Ebersohl and co-founder, general counsel, and compliance officer for Secure Exchange Solutions, Inc., a leading provider of cloud-based clinical data exchange and AI-driven analytics solutions for the health care industry. In the latter role, Apatoff is responsible for regulatory and legal matters including IP licensing, contract compliance, data privacy, security, and industry-specific regulations, certifications, and accreditations. He is vice chair of the board of directors of DirectTrust, the health care industry’s self-regulatory organization for compliance with the Direct Protocol, the transport standard adopted by the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology for secure clinical data exchange.


Adam Apatoff

Liz B. White, B.S.C. ’92

CO-Chair, Membership Committee 

Liz assisted in forming Peachtree Special Risk in 2000 after beginning her insurance career at Marsh & McLennan Atlanta in 1993 and transitioning to a wholesale property broker at Gresham & Associates in 1996. She was promoted to President of Peachtree in 2011. Liz was also instrumental in the development and launch of Bridge Specialty Group, which unites more than 25 boutique wholesale brokerage brands, including Peachtree. She was promoted to the Director of Retail Distribution for Bridge Specialty Group in 2021. Liz specializes in layering large public entities and schools, real estate, technical risks, including food processing and agriculture, healthcare, multi-family, and builder’s risk. She also specializes in placing reinsurance for captive programs and risk pools, negotiating manuscript forms, wrap-around coverages, and developing programs for large groups. Liz’s excels at placing catastrophic exposed risks and hard to place loss leaders.

Andrew Potter M.B.A. ’04

Co-Chair, Membership Committee

Andrew F. Potter is a Senior Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager at FineMark National Bank & Trust, where he’s responsible for managing client assets and working with a team to develop the firm’s investment strategies. Additionally, he manages the investment department at the firm’s headquarters. Mr. Potter sits on the Investment Policy Committee, the Manager Review Committee, and the Portfolio Construction Committee at FineMark. Andrew has more than two decades of experience in the financial services industry with family offices and consulting with endowments & foundations. Immediately prior to joining FineMark, he served as a Senior Investment Advisor at Hawthorn, PNC Private Bank’s Family Office group, where he built and maintained a significant portfolio of Family office clients, in excess of $1 billion.
